Electro-Fence™: The Ultimate Perimeter Security Solution

AC-DC Electric is proud to announce we are now an authorized dealer for Advanced Perimeter Systems (APS) Electro-Fence™.

When your facility requires more than just a physical barrier, Electro-Fence™ provides a powerful "Deter and Detect" solution. Combining a safe, non-lethal high-voltage pulse with advanced monitoring technology, it ensures that your perimeter is not just a fence, but an intelligent security system.

Why Choose Electro-Fence™?

Electro-Fence™ is designed to stop intruders before they ever set foot on your property. It is the gold standard for high-security sites, including industrial hubs, data centers, and critical infrastructure.

Key Product Features

  • Active Deterrence: Delivers a short, sharp, and safe (non-lethal) electric shock that immediately repels anyone attempting to climb or cut the fence.
  • 24/7 Intelligent Monitoring: The system continuously monitors for voltage drops, short circuits, or wire-cutting attempts, ensuring zero blind spots.
  • Immediate Alarm Trigger: Any breach or tampering attempt instantly activates an alarm, which can be integrated into your existing security consoles or CCTV systems.
  • Low False-Alarm Rate: Unlike vibration sensors, Electro-Fence™ is unaffected by wind, rain, snow, or small animals, ensuring you only respond to real threats.
  • Flexible Installation: Can be installed as a standalone fence or retrofitted as a "topping" to enhance your existing perimeter fence.

Electric Security Fence in Denver-Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are electric security fences legal in Denver?

Yes, but only in specific industrial zoning districts. The City and County of Denver permits non-lethal electric security fences exclusively within I-A (Light Industrial), I-B (General Industrial), and CMP-NWC (Campus National Western Center) zone districts. They are strictly prohibited in residential areas.

  • Will the system trigger false alarms in bad weather?

We Guarantee that you will be satisfied, we have a 100% success rate!

  • Can it be added to my existing fence?

We have seen it all in our 40+ years of combined experience. Use our residential, commercial  & industrial electrical experience and see how fast and smooth the next electrical project goes!

  • What happens if someone cuts the power?

The system is equipped with a battery backup that provides hours of continuous protection during a power failure. Furthermore, any attempt to cut the power lines or tamper with the controller will trigger an immediate alarm.

  • Is it safe for pets or wildlife?

The system is designed to discourage intruders. While an animal touching the fence will receive a shock, the pulse is intermittent and regulated to be safe for all living beings according to global safety standards.
